Eddie Click
I’m Eddie Click, pastor here at Highland Park Baptist Church and our church is a family.  Our church offers a wide variety of worship, fellowship and service opportunities through many different ministries.  Here at Highland Park Baptist Church we believe that the door to salvation is always open and so are the doors to our church. Our mission is to be fully devoted to Jesus by opening our arms to those in search of the truth. We show God’s love and concern for our fellow man at every opportunity. Through works of charity and opening our doors to listen and love, we feel that we are walking in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.

A: Our Sunday morning classes meets on Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m. Our Sunday School classes not only meet on Sunday mornings, but they do different activities together as a group. Sometimes they meet for fun and fellowship and other times they do mission and outreach projects.

Q: Why should I even go to church? Can’t we worship God from anywhere?
A: Yes, you can and you should worship God from anywhere and everywhere, but it is important to attend church. Private worship is vital to the Christian life, but that’s not where God says we should stop in our worship of Him. He also wants us to gather with other believers and join in corporate worship. The word church in the Bible never refers to a building but a congregation or group of people who are the church. The church is not made of wood and stone but of faithful believers united in service to Christ. Romans 12:10 says, “Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.” Don’t give up meeting together. We need to urge one another to love and do good deeds. We need encouragement. It’s easy to get sidetracked and pulled into this world’s depression and sin. We need the combined strength, wisdom and encouragement of the body of Christ to remain strong in the faith. Others need us and we need others. You cannot get close to God if you do not get close to the fire!
