Verse of the Day (Page 256)

As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child:  even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.

Rejoice evermore.  Pray without ceasing.  In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

²º He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

By humility and fear of the Lord are riches, and honor, and life.

To the chief Musician, Maschil, for the sons of Korah. ¹¹ Why art thou cast down, O my soul?  and why art thou disquieted within me?  hope thou in God:  for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

Train up a child in the way he should go:  and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
