Verse of the Day (Page 266)

One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.

But without faith it is impossible to please him:  for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

I will never forget thy precepts:  for with them thou hast quickened me.

For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand.  I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my god, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock:  if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

Nor height, no depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life:  he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:  And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.  Believest thou this?

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
