Homebound Christmas Baskets

The Homebound Ministry will be delivering Christmas Baskets to the Homebound on Tuesday, December 13th! Blankets for Babes

It is once again time for Blankets for Babes!  We are collecting baby blankets, throws and hats that will be donated to the East Tennessee Children’s hospital, Baptist Nursing home, and to chemotherapy patients.  Blankets may be quilted, crocheted, knitted, tied, tacked or purchased.  They may be sized for babies, tots, teens and adults.  We will be collecting now through the 11th of December.  For more information, see Sharon Mitchell, Cindy Tipton or Linda Collins.

Gospel Project Store

We need donations of gently used jewelry and trinkets, lotion, nail polish, purses or any items (no clothes please) that the children can choose for Christmas gifts for their family.  We need volunteers to help wrap these gifts.  The items need to be brought to the Church no later than Sunday, December 4.  The volunteers will need to be here on Wednesday, December 7th to wrap gifts.

Scarf in the Park / Community Day

We are combining Scarf in the Park with Community Day on Saturday, December 3 from 11:00 to 2:00 pm here at the Church.  We are in need of two 5-6 Ft. Christmas Trees (Live or Artificial) to hang the scarfs, socks and hats from.  Please continue to bring socks  scarves, hats and coats so we can reach out to our community!  Volunteers are needed as well on Saturday, December 3rd!!! Cara’s Bears

We are currently collecting new stuffed animals for the Cara’s Bears project.  Please turn your donation in by December 1st!  The animals can be of any size and will be donated to the Children’s Hospital and Fort Loudon Medical Center.  Cara’s Bears benefits the March of Dimes – March for Babies program.  More information is available here: https://www.marchforbabies.org/

Thanksgiving Fellowship

Our annual Thanksgiving Fellowship will be Tuesday, November 22nd at 6:00 P.M. in the Fellowship Building.  The Church will furnish the meat and drinks.  You are asked to bring a side dish or dessert.  Everyone is welcome.  There will be no services Wednesday night, November 23.

Tiny Trees

We will be collecting 3 ft. Christmas Trees (Tiny Trees) for East Tennessee Children’s Hospital.  The trees must be under 3 feet tall and all ornaments must be firmly attached to the trees.  Walmart usually has these trees with white or multi-colored lights already attached.  You just add ornaments.  Children in the Hospital during the Christmas season will receive one to take home. Operation Christmas Child

Get your shoeboxes in the sanctuary to the left side of the altar.  The Deadline for packed shoeboxes to be turned in is Sunday, November 20th.  Our goal this year is 225 Boxes!
