The title “Unspeakable Joy” could not be more appropriate than now! Christianity and all religions are being attacked from every side.
Just this morning I watched a news article about a memorandum published by a school district banning certain types of music on school buses. Among the banned music types were ‘Rap’ and ‘Religious’.
The backlash to this memo began quickly. A female spokesperson stated that “The ban was racist and targeted blacks”.
It appears that no one stood up to defend religious music. So is ‘our unspeakable joy’ really becoming ‘unspeakable’?
Although this country was founded as a nation under God, the citizens of this country were free to worship (or not) as they pleased. It appears that this right is also being taken from us via ridicule, shunning and the targeting of our particular faith. Dark days are indeed upon us.
We cannot allow this! We must end our silence! We must shout out our devotion to God and we must reflect the teachings of Christ in everything we do and say!
Don’t be silent! Show them and tell them!
