The letters from roscoe

It’s ‘Go’ Time! A couple of Sunday evenings ago Brother Eddie preached a message called “Go” based on Matthew 28:20.  The King James Version reads: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:  and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.  Amen. That message struck a chord with me. I had been thinking that “I” was seeing a decline in participation in our Church.  I was thinking that people aren’t stepping…

Verse of the Day – Luke 6:45 KJV

“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.”‭‭

Verse of the Day – 1 John 2:15 KJV

“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”‭‭1 John‬ ‭2:15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Verse of the day – James 5:16 KJV

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Verse of the Day – Jeremiah 17:7-8 KJV

Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

Verse of the day – 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 KJV

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
