Verse of the Day (Page 249)

And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply:  and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.  

Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God:  for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.  

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is food for each other and for everyone else.

When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O Lord, held me up.  In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

I will never forget thy precepts:  for with them thou hast quickened me.

Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name:  ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come the Almighty.

And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed.  The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
