But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

¹ Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

¹Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in fear of God.

So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

² My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; ³ Knowing this, that the the trying of your faith worketh patience.  

As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child:  even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.

Rejoice evermore.  Pray without ceasing.  In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

²º He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

By humility and fear of the Lord are riches, and honor, and life.
