The other day I published another posting in the Letters from Roscoe series. Since then, I have watched that one post climb to over two hundred reads and shares on Facebook. While certainly not viral, it is comforting to know that others are seeing these posts and getting some joy or satisfaction out of reading them.
I would like to tell you a little bit about the ‘experience’ of writing that particular letter.
As I watched the movie, Miracles from Heaven, I felt God talking to me, showing me the images of that tranquil garden in my mind. Immediately afterwards I got up and went straight to my computer and sat down.
What happened next was a miracle to me.
I started typing and the letter literally poured out of me. I may have been the one typing, but it was God speaking. There were no pauses where I stopped and tried to figure out how to phrase something. Nor was there any confusion on the message I was trying to deliver. The words just flowed. I was just the pitcher pouring out the message straight from him.
This went on for a few minutes. It wasn’t very long at all. When it was over, I went back and edited a couple of things, but kept getting the feeling that I shouldn’t trim to much… as it wasn’t really my words that were being altered,
Something else about this letter; As I published it I reflected on the idea that this time, I knew that I had written it without any pride or selfishness. I had written it for Him. I had been used by Him and it was a truly wonderful feeling.
I pray that he will use me again!
We should all listen to His voice, and answer when He calls.
